Our Story

About Girl Inspiration Group

Founded in Lusaka in 2015, we exist to change the story of every girl in Zambia.

What We Do

"To empower vulnerable girls and children through education, protection, mentorship, advocacy and community-driven action that promotes safety, leadership and equal opportunity."

Within our groups, girls meet regularly in safe spaces where they learn decision-making, communication, and self-esteem. They receive mentorship from teachers and community leaders, and discuss real challenges openly — from peer pressure to school struggles.

Our Vision

What We Seek

"To build a Zambia where every girl is safe, educated, empowered and given equal opportunity to thrive."

We envision communities where no girl fears walking to school, where every young woman can speak out, and where opportunity is determined by potential — not gender.

Our Core Values

Love & Kindness

We lead with unconditional love, creating safe spaces where every girl feels valued, nurtured, appreciated, and supported with compassion.

Protection

We safeguard every girl's rights, dignity and well-being through safe spaces, protection and advocacy against harm and discrimination.

Equality & Inclusion

No girl is left behind. We champion equal access to education, health, and opportunity regardless of background.

Dignity & Respect

Every girl deserves to be treated with honour. We model and teach the dignity that is the birthright of every human being.

Who We Serve

The organization is dedicated to empowering vulnerable children, particularly girls, by promoting access to education, ensuring protection and advancing for their rights and well-being. We focus on girls aged 5 to 24 years, offering comprehensive support to enhance their educational and personal growth.

We operate primarily in and around Lusaka, reaching schools, communities, and urban neighbourhoods. Our work spans mentorship, education support, literacy and skills development, sexual and reproductive health education and climate advocacy.
